Comings & Goings

We are thrilled to welcome Allison Taber as our new Youth Services Coordinator!

Allison has lived in Harrison for nearly 20 years, and is well known to many families in the area as the owner of Seeds to Trees Preschool and Childcare, a member of the Harrison-Waterford PTO, and a Girl Scout leader. Allison is also familiar to the movement community as a dance instructor at the Ballroom, as well as a yoga and Zumba instructor, and she was a member of the library’s Board of Trustees from 2013-2015. Most recently, she was seen onstage as part of Lake Region Community Theater’s production of Matilda: The Musical. Allison is married to Matt Taber, and mother to Abbie (age 20) and Brooke (age 14).
Allison has a degree in early childhood education, and will work to develop programs and services for school-age children and teens. She is excited to continue to be part of our community, and hopes that her friendly face and ideas for new programs will attract kids (and their families) to the library!
Library Assistant Sarah Bernard will be retiring at the end of August. Sarah has been involved with the library in many capacities for over a decade, first as a volunteer, then a member of the Board of Trustees, before taking the Library Assistant job in 2019. In retirement, she’s looking forward to traveling in her motorhome and camping with her husband (who will be retiring in October). She’s also learning to play golf. And in case that’s not enough excitement, she’s expecting her first great grandchild in November! We thank Sarah for her years of service, and wish her the best as she settles in to life “off the clock”.
