Mahjong

Learning Session Wednesday, June 24, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Mahjong Club will meet weekly beginning Thursday, May 25, from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Please register with Kathleen if you’d like to attend either/both events. Space is very limited for the Thursday afternoon club; we will ask for registration each week, and will be able to accommodate more players if it’s a nice day and we can use the patio.

 

Adult Chess Club

Led by volunteer Reed Foster. Chess Club meets the third Saturday of every month from 10:00-12:00. 18+; all ability levels are welcome. Please contact Kathleen at director@harrisonvillagelibrary.org to register.

Museum & Park Passes

We currently offer these passes for our patrons in good standing: free admission to the Portland Museum of Art for up to 4 people; reduced admission to the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine for up to 4 people; reduced admission to the Maine Wildlife Park. Passes may be used by one patron per day, so please contact us to check availability.

Storytime

Storytime for Young Children is held each Thursday at 10:00. Join us to talk, sing, read, write and play–all the elements that help get kids ready to read!

 

HVL Kids: Read with Ally the Therapy Dog

We are thrilled to welcome our newest volunteer, Ally the Therapy Dog! Reading to animals can help build confidence and improve read-aloud skills. Ally (and her human, Patti Dann) will be in the children’s room, waiting to listen to good books, each Thursday from 4:30-5:30.
