Our next Book Club meeting will be Saturday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m., when we’ll discuss The Secret History by Donna Tartt. New members are always welcome!
Mahjong
Mahjong Club meets weekly on Thursdays from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Space is limited; we will send an email each week to register for that week’s play. Please email Kathleen at director@harrisonvillagelibrary.org if you’d like to be added to the list of members.
Adult Chess Club
Led by volunteer Reed Foster. Chess Club meets the third Saturday of every month from 10:00-12:00. 18+; all ability levels are welcome. Please contact Kathleen at director@harrisonvillagelibrary.org to register.
Storytime
Storytime for Young Children is held each Thursday at 10:00. Join us to talk, sing, read, write and play–all the elements that help get kids ready to read!
HVL Kids: Read with Ally the Therapy Dog
We are thrilled to welcome our newest volunteer, Ally the Therapy Dog! Reading to animals can help build confidence and improve read-aloud skills. Ally (and her human, Patti Dann) will be in the children’s room, waiting to listen to good books, each Thursday from 4:00-5:00.
Museum & Park Passes
We currently offer these passes for our patrons in good standing: reduced admission to the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine for up to 4 people; reduced admission to the Maine Wildlife Park. Please contact us to check availability.
